Average 30-Year Mortgage Rate Now at 4.35%

Historical U.S. Prime Rates

The average rate for a 30-year fixed mortgage crept up slightly last week, to 4.35%, according to Freddie Mac.

Meanwhile, rates on 15-year fixed rate loans held steady at 3.83%, the lowest rate on record since 1991.

The low rates mean huge buying opportunities for would-be homebuyers as well as those thinking about refinancing their mortgages.

So if you’re in the market for a home loan, and have good credit, now is the time to buy or refi.
