Beware Of The Olympic Lotto Scam

If you receive an email, call or letter congratulating you because you’ve won tickets to the 2012 Olympic Games in London, beware.  The Daily Mirror reports of a growing global scam where someone is contact folks asking for their personal information in order to obtain their “prize ticket” to the 2012 Olympic Games.

To claim their prize, the victim  must supply a load of sensitive information, including bank pin numbers.  The scammers   claim to be sponsored by the National Lottery Board of the United Kingdom.

Camelot, the company that runs the UK national lottery warns consumers that their name is sometimes used to promote scams such as these.
