The coronavirus pandemic is serious. Dead serious.

If a person gets stricken with the COVID-19 disease, the outcome could be fatal – and not just for older folks.

Young kids, millennials and even some people who were perfectly fine (with no underlying conditions) have all recently died from COVID-19.

Despite the gravity of the situation, some Americans simply aren’t taking seriously the advice from scientists and medical experts that we all need to practice strict mitigation efforts like social distancing, rigorous hygiene, and staying at home to prevent the spread of additional coronavirus infections.

Sometimes, the people who want to violate expert advice are comical; at other times, they’re just … well, honestly, they’re idiotic.

No doubt you’ve encountered or heard about some of these folks. If you haven’t: let me introduce you to the following list. It’s the Top 10 Questions From Covidiots.

Read them and weep …. or laugh, if you want to keep your sanity.

In a crisis like this, perspective matters, right?

Top 10 Questions From Covidiots

  1. I have season tickets to Disneyland. Do you think it will be open by June?
  2. My husband and I have always dreamed of going to Europe. We noticed that tickets to Rome and Paris are currently dirt cheap. So do you think now is a good time to take advantage of this travel bargain?
  3. Our family is super patriotic and each year we invite all our relatives and neighbors to a 4th of July barbecue picnic in our backyard. It’s only about 100 people. Can we still have it this year if everyone promises to bring a mask?
  4. We pay a lot in HOA fees. When is the community pool opening up again?
  5. I forgot my mask at home. Is it OK for me to share my friend’s mask?
  6. I’m having a first in-person date with a cute guy I met on Tinder. Do you think I need to wear a mask?
  7. I need immediate cash flow. Is now a good time to invest in a daycare center?
  8. Can I put a little lemon and a shot of bleach in my tea to kill the coronavirus?
  9. I haven’t filed my taxes for five years. Will I still get the $1,200 stimulus check, while also claiming unemployment benefits, sick pay, medical leave and those new SBA loans and grants, etc.? I want it all.
  10. I got a call from someone in the government saying they accidentally sent my stimulus check to the wrong address. The guy said he could Venmo the money to me in one hour, but he needs my bank information and Social Security number first. What should I do?

Hoo-boy. That’s a lot. I know.

But like I said, sometimes you might have to laugh – just to keep from crying!
